This map was created for the purpose of showing viewers where Ulmann captured her images. This is significant because the location of an image can make you think about the image in an entirely different way. It helps explain different things like why an individual has on this certain type of clothing or why they're doing a specific action. Ulmann focused on different geographic locations based on interest as well. She looked at appalachian crafts, making a focus in the appalachian region. The map will enable viewers to think more creatively about Ulmann's images.
